Our Annual Stewardship Campaign during October 4 to November 29 is an opportunity for us at St. John's to plan ahead for 2021 and how we can be of service to each other and our broader community. During these past months of not being able to gather in person, our usual focus on weekly worship has spread throughout the week as we find new ways to gather virtually, taking more time to pray for each other’s needs and serve our communities. I have witnessed the countless ways our congregation has used our resources for the mission of the Church and to help each other. I have found it inspiring and hopeful as we plan our work together for 2021. This autumn, we will explore the way that our generosity is inspired by our faith, how we are formed and led into relationship with each other as we share our gifts with the world. This is what we mean by “Faith-Filled Generosity.”

How will you discover and use the gifts you have been given to help our church next year? How will you hear the Gospel call to seek and serve Christ in all people, and respond with generosity?

I invite you to consider with grace and prayer how you will share with God and God’s Church from what you have received. We have mailed to your home a packet that includes a letter from our senior warden, a budget overview, a pledge card, and instructions for online giving (see more about that below). If you need a new packet mailed to your home, please contact our church office. Please return your pledge card (paper or online) by November 29th!

In the spirit of generosity and love,

Online giving is a convenient way to strengthen our spiritual home!

We offer several online options for fulfilling your pledge. Through this website, you can create an account with Vanco, a leader in online giving for churches, to make one-time or recurring payments for your pledge.

Setting up a recurring pledge through Vanco means…

Ö      Your pledge will automatically be paid on the day you designate each month.

Ö      You’ll never have to remember to bring a check to church with you!

Ö      You’ll have the security of knowing that your pledge will be paid in full by the end of the year.

How to fulfill your pledge through Vanco:

1)    Look for the “give online” button at the top of our website’s home page or click here to be taken to St. John's Online Donation Page.

2)    Click on ‘create a profile’, or log in if you already have a Vanco account.

3)    Schedule a payment, either one time or recurring (weekly or monthly). You can set it up to draft from your checking account or to use a debit or credit card. (We pay a processing fee for debit and credit card transactions, but not for drafts from checking accounts.)

4)    Let us know by marking the ‘online giving’ option on your 2021 pledge card!

Given our pandemic reality, we've planned four events online via Zoom as an opportunity for us to discuss the narrative budget and what pledges now mean for ministries in 2021. We are calling the presentations "Generosity in Action" and each presentation focuses on a different part of our narrative budget.  The Zoom link is pasted below.
