The Busy Bees is a group of women from St. John’s and St. Benedict’s Episcopal churches and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The mission of the Bees group is to support and encourage girls and young women who lack adequate or traditional support from their families in our local community.  Some of the programs that achieve this focus include the YWCA “STEAM” program, Community Youth Services(CYS) program, (including Rosie’s Place) and support of  Brentwood Foster Home for teen girls.. For the Brentwood home, we provide birthday parties, back to school supplies, as well as welcome and holiday baskets.

For community based programs, we offer some financial assistance to help those programs during the year. To support all our projects, we have two main fund raisers every year, the June Jumble Sale and the Christmas Faire at which we make and sell homemade food and gift items.

Our monthly meeting is on the second Tuesday of each month, Sept. through June at 1pm at St. John’s Episcopal church. New members are always welcome. For more information, contact Lin Hampton at 360-209-9539.
